Connect Gwinnett: Transit Plan is Gwinnett County’s first comprehensive look at its transit system since it was initiated in 2001. While the first phase of public outreach in Summer/Fall 2017 was tied to developing a vision and priorities for the plan, understanding existing conditions, and identifying transit needs and possible alternatives, the team has now developed draft recommendations for Gwinnett’s transit future. To finalize the plan, the County and the team need the public to weigh-in on these draft recommendations and have launched their second round of public outreach to gather input from Gwinnett residents, employees, and visitors. The Connect Gwinnett Spring 2018 outreach efforts have included six public open house sessions across the County was well as events throughout the community.
But, there’s still time to provide YOUR input on the plan—the County and the planning team is conducting an online survey that gathers much of the same information from the public open houses. The survey is available at www.connectgwinnetttransit.com/survey<http://www.connectgwinnetttransit.com/survey> (in English, Spanish, Korean, and Vietnamese) and materials from the public open houses, including draft system maps and a narrated presentation, are available here: https://www.gwinnettcounty.com/portal/gwinnett/Departments/Transportation/ConnectGwinnett/Resources.
The project also will be sharing information via its Facebook page (/ConnectGwinnettTransit) and following plan-related conversations tagged with #ConnectGwinnettTransit.
