Cherokee County officially kicked off the 2023 Comprehensive Plan Update Tuesday, October 5, 2022 at the regular Board of Commissioners meeting.
The comprehensive plan is a long-range plan that highlights intended land uses over a 20-year period and updated every five years. It is a guiding document for county planners and leaders, as well as property owners and developers, to utilize in the development process. Earlier this year, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners approved a professional services agreement for $59,680 engaging Pond & Company to facilitate the creation of the plan.
The process begins with an online survey open at www.cherokeega.com/ourcherokee. The survey will remain open until Friday, Nov. 18.
