On Friday, October 28, 2022 the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) hosted another successful annual State of the Region address with Chairman of the ARC Board Kerry Armstrong providing welcoming remarks and Executive Director Anna Roach discussing the challenges and opportunities facing the Atlanta region. The Council for Quality Growth appreciates our partnership with ARC and a proud supporter of the State of the Region breakfast.
Also heard from Gwinnett County Board of Commissions Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson and from President & CEO of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Verónica Maldonado-Torres on What’s Next ATL as they dived into two of the biggest issues facing our region and outline courageous actions the region’s leaders must take to affect change.
The event will also feature information about the exciting $1.2 trillion federal infrastructure law and celebrate innovative successes realized within regional communities and leaders. with the presentation of the Regional Excellence Awards. And, join us as we celebrate the 2022 recipient of the Harry West Visionary Leadership Award which recognizes outstanding community service and leadership. The ARC’s Regional Excellence Awards recognize planning and development projects in metro Atlanta that that enhance the surrounding community and support the goals and policies of the Atlanta Region’s Plan, metro Atlanta’s long-range, comprehensive blueprint.
