Forsyth County will be hosting two comprehensive plan workshops in March. The Comprehensive Plan is a document that addresses current and futue conditions within the county related to population, housing, economic developmnt, natural and cultural resources, land use, community facilities and infrastructure as well as intergovernmental coordination. Adoption of the plan is required by June 30, 2012. Two development map workshops will be held on Monday, March 7th at Brookwood Elementary School Cafeteria at 29880 Vaughan Drive in Cumming and Monday, March 14th at Coal Mountain Elementary School Cafeteria at 3455 Coal Mountain Drive in Cumming. Both workshops will start at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. The future development map is an essential element within the Comprehensive Plan since the map communicates a community vision for preferred future land use during the twenty-year, long range planning period.
