Forsyth County hosted a comprehensive plan workshop on May 23rd in Suite 220 of the County Administration Building in Cumming. The Comprehensive Plan is a document that addresses current and future conditions within the county related to population, housing, economic development, cultural and natural resources, land use, community facilities, infrastructure and intergovernmental coordination. Council members are invited to comment on the policies associated with the community identified issues and opportunities as well as the community vision which encompasses the future development map and character area descriptions. There is a short video and supporting documents you can review here. Comments can be submitted online until June 2nd. Adoption of the plan is required by June 30, 2012.
