Governor Nathan Deal has approved the Georgia Water Supply Task Force’s recommendations to issue low interest loans to be used to plan and build new reservoirs. These reservoirs are vital for the metro Atlanta region’s future water supply needs. The loans would include $300 million worth of loans issued to local municipalities in order to build new reservoirs and expand current reservoirs.
