Atlanta Community Development and Human Resources Committee Continues to Hold Impact Fees

The Council for Quality Growth applauds members of the C.D.H.R. Committee for continuing to recognize that now is not the time to raise impact fees in the city of Atlanta.  In yesterday’s committee meeting, an ordinance that would raise impact fees did not receive a hearing or vote, in a move that demonstrates the recognition of the  negative impact that any increase the fees would have in a recovering economy.

As reports have begun to surface that development is slowly increasing with light on the horizon, the Council for Quality Growth continues to encourage the city to promote policies that allow the development community and city to grow Atlanta once again into a thriving and vibrant city.  The Council for Quality Growth and our affiliate partners will continue to work with the city and will continue to oppose policies that hurt the economic development of Atlanta.
