Forsyth County continues to work on there comprehensive plan. The Comprehensive Plan is a document that addresses current and future conditions within the county related to population, housing, economic development, cultural and natural resources, land use, community facilities, infrastructure and intergovernmental coordination. Adoption of the plan is required by June 30, 2012. The county is hosting workshops to focus on specific areas of the plan and collect public comments. The next workshop will focus on narrative definitions and implementation strategies associated with each character area identified on the future development map. The workshop will be April 28th from 6-8 pm in the Forsyth County Commissioners’ Meeting Room. You can read the entire 2011 schedule here.
