The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recently passed an ordinance that allows third party inspections. The ordinance states that the Planning and Community Development Department will allow third party inspections on any construction inspections required by the Unified Development Code where department staff is unable to provide inspections within two business days. The ordinance also lists out certain types of inspections which can be conducted by third party inspectors including inspections pertaining to concrete and foundation work, inspections associated with additions and renovations to occupied dwellings, inspections on commercial projects pertaining to concrete and foundation work and most inspections pertaining to commercial tenant finish projects (with certain exceptions).
