You can help Team ScottStrong achieve its $25,000 goal for lung cancer awareness and research – we are only $7,000 away. This Saturday, Nov. 4th join Team ScottStrong at John Howell Park in Virginia Highlands for the Lung Force 5K walk/run. With just 20 more participants, Scott’s team will reach 100 people! Scott would definitely still want us to WALK TOGETHER on Saturday! He was the first person to register for this walk and as we all know his commitment to giving back was his passion. We all know how difficult this battle was for Scott. He was committed to this organization and would be the first person to help save other lives and fund research for a cure. This walk does celebrate the lives of people with Lung Cancer. The 5k Run/Walk starts at 9 but please meet us at our tent between 8-8:30am. There will be a volunteer at our tent to register anyone who isn’t able to register before Saturday. (please bring a check or cash-$30 registration plus any additional donations). Wear your SCOTT STRONG tshirts and if you don’t have one, we will have one there for you. You will also receive your BIBB number at our tent if you are registered. (please make sure to register your significant other or child). This is a run or a walk. It is timed for those of you who would like to run.
Our goal was to raise $25,000 for this charity which is now unfortunately so near and dear to all of our hearts. We are only $7000 away from reaching that goal. We already have 80 people registered to walk… Let’s try to get to at least 100! Only 20 more people… Scott would definitely be proud and thankful.
