Chairman Oz Nesbitt, Sr. to Deliver 2024 State of Rockdale County Address on March 28
Over 300 Expected to Join Chairman Nesbitt’s Annual Address at Rockdale County Auditorium
ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA – The Council for Quality Growth, in partnership with Rockdale County Government, will host the 2024 State of Rockdale County Address on March 28, 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Rockdale County Auditorium in Conyers. The breakfast program, presented by Atlas and Volkert, will feature an annual address from the Chairman of Rockdale County’s Board of Commissioners, Oz Nesbitt, Sr. Over 300 Council and Chamber members, elected officials, businesses, residents, county staff, and partners of Rockdale County are expected to attend to hear the Chairman’s address.
The Council’s State of Rockdale County annually convenes the county’s business community with its local government bodies, as well as with other local leaders from across the region. Chairman Nesbitt will address his community to present achievements and projects from the last year, as well as an outlook for what’s ahead in 2024.
The Council for Quality Growth works with Rockdale County and its local municipalities year-round to advocate for our members doing business in those areas. “Rockdale County continues to make quality investments that attract residents and businesses alike,” said Michael Paris, President & CEO of the Council for Quality Growth. “We are proud to provide this platform for each year to hear about all the progress happening in Rockdale.”
The State of Rockdale will feature remarks from Lisa Exley with Volkert and Todd Long with Atlas, as presenting sponsors. Terrell Gibbs, Chief Operating Officer, will provide remarks for CERM, and Sarah Skinner, Manager of the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District, will provide an update on the district’s regional efforts. Attendees will also hear from Rockdale County’s Executive Director of Public Relations, Melisa Mims, Macedonia Baptist Church Pastor Dr. Constance Abbott, Excel Church Worldwide Pastor K. Francis Smith, and Council for Quality Growth’s Michael Paris.
