The Atlanta Regional Roundtable adopted a transit governance resolution on April 27th. The resolution calls for transit governance for the counties that have transit in metro Atlanta. Currently, metro Atlanta counties that have transit operate it independently without a central governing entity in the region. The resolution passed by a unanimous vote. The Atlanta Regional Roundtable Executive Committee will meet again on May 25th from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The Atlanta Regional Roundtable is tasked with making a project list voters can support during the 2012 regional sales tax referendum for transportation next summer.
